Streets of cities across the world are filled with those out to enjoy the special day. Yet, in the homeland of Ireland, St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t just last one day, the celebration goes on for five!
Those in Ireland enjoy a five day feast of street theatre, music, dance, carnivals, fireworks, food, treasure hunts, film and a parade through the city center of Dublin for hundreds of thousands. Featuring newly commissioned, original and inventive street theater troupes, artists, puppetry, dancers and marching bands from all over the world, this parade is just one of the highlights of the celebration.
