Mushroom Dinner at Cortez Restaurant on 9/24/07
Cortez Restaurant will host a Mushroom Dinner on Monday, September 24 with cocktails at 6:00 PM and dinner at 7:00 PM. The menu, designed by Cortez co-executive chefs Louis Maldonado and Seth Bowden, will consist of six dishes showcasing seasonal local mushrooms and including dessert, plus amuse bouches, and is priced at $115.00 inclusive of tax and gratuity. A vegetarian option will also be available. For an additional $35.00, the meal will be paired with wines selected by Cortez sommelier Brian Escobar. Mushroom purveyor Todd Spanier, from "King of Mushrooms" (www.kingofmushrooms.com), will be in attendance to answer questions about the various fungi being served and he may even make a couple of mushroom cocktails.
