Urban Tavern Debuts Daily $7.00 Fall Lunch Special

Urban Tavern in downtown San Francisco has introduced a daily $7.00 lunch special with a different offering each day of the week, served from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m, and available in addition to the restaurant’s regular a la carte menu.

The lunch special includes a soft drink or iced tea plus 5 hours of complimentary parking at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. Urban Tavern serves American gastropub cuisine prepared with seasonal, fresh, often locally sourced organic ingredients.

On Mondays, the special menu item being offered changes weekly, on Tuesdays it’s spaghetti and meatballs, on Wednesdays it’s Irish stew, on Thursday’s it’s baked macaroni and cheese, on Fridays it’s “uptown” rice and beans, on Saturday’s it’s a hot dog and a draft beer, and on Sundays diners can enjoy pork posole.

Urban Tavern's interior design is the creation of a team comprised of Donna Scala and Gensler Design. Highlights include a striking full-size horse sculpture by Arizona artist Doug Owen welded together from tractor, motorcycle and car parts, underscoring Urban Tavern’s green sensibilities while juxtaposing old and new, rural and urban - elements found throughout the restaurant. Also notable are the intimate booths, reclaimed wood beams and claddings, a communal table made from a recovered fallen tree, plaster walls, exposed concrete, a marble-topped bar and saddle-shaped bar stools.
